Uh-uh. Yes, I do feel that Scully until very, very recently has been *unsure* (not "insecure") about Mulder's feelings towards her, but that is because she is basically a very closed person emotionally and, IMO, as self-confident as she comes across, when it comes to love she can sometimes feel unworthy. She loved her father but always seemed to feel she had to prove herself to him to make him proud, whether it was true or not. I believe this is carried over into her self-image of her romantic life also. And let's not forget, she is just plain afraid to open up emotionally to anyone. Mulder is the about the only one other than her mother that I can recall her crying in front of.

Nope. Don't use my statement as evidence for your theory, friend, it won't wash. :-)
