Interesting. I guess I had a hard time finding the XFile in this episode too but we really haven't been given a lot of information on Scully's background and that is how I look at this episode. She is single, unattached--dated a few times but always comes back to the FBI and Mulder--yet we know little of her past romances. We get bits and pieces of Mulder's past flings every now and then. I had more of a problem with Daniel being a wuss and not going after her--ten years is a long time to do nothing.

I don't think of the blonde girl as being a guardian angel--she seemed to be more of a guiding force--she led Scully to where she needed to go. Pretty symbolic when she turned into Mulder (who has been opening her mind to all sorts of other possibilities which cannot be explained by her science.) These two balance each other out as he needs her science (and recognizes the need also) in order to keep him honest and on the right path.

Oh well--I am still recovering from jellybean withdrawal. Hope everyone had a nice Easter break.
