Subject: Some strange similarities between The Unnatural and All Things

I was watching the Unnatural repeat and thinking about the way DD's ep and GA's ep were both structured.

Check this out:

1) Both episodes start with a teaser that reveal themselves to actually having taken place at the end of the episode:

All Things--The bedroom scene (followed by a note that tells us that everything else begins 63 hours earlier.)

The Unnatural--Exley hitting homerun number 61 in the cactus league game and the KKK coming after him is the teaser but then is repeated near the end of the ep in it's actual place.

2) The first scene right after the teaser is very similar in both episodes:

a) In both The Unnatural and All Things we have Mulder and Scully in the office on a SATURDAY.

b) In both episodes Mulder is talking about fairly standard stuff relating to well known UFO type phenomenon:
The Unnatural--Roswell
All Things--Crop circles

c) Scully is characteristically uninterested in what Mulder has to say in both episodes.

d) Both scenes involve food:
All Things--salad and whatever that is Mulder is eating (a burrito?).
The Unnatural--Nonfat Tofutti Rice Dreamsicle
This wouldn't be out of the ordinary except that there have been very few episodes in the enire series where we see them eating.

4) End scene--both episodes end with scenes that became fast favorites with shippers and just about everyone else! (Note: GA said CC wrote the last scene in All Things but the premise still could have been her idea.)

5) Both episodes involve our respective heroes spending a lot of time away from their partner with an older man:
Scully with Daniel
Mulder with Arthur Dales!
Ha Ha! I just threw that in. But it does fit!

Does anyone else find this interesting?
Can anyone think of any other similarities? And how do you explain this? I thought the teaser being the end (or nearly) scenes as well as the opening office scenes were particularly interesting in just how similar in style they were. Could it be that GA and DD have been working together so long that they're starting to think alike?!!!

det :-)
