Subject: Scully's fertility

Okay, I addressed this at least once back on the old boards, but since it's come up again, I'm going to post my views on Scully's fertility problems. There are several possible scenarios.
1.) She can't have biological children, period. This *DOES* make those "biological clock" remarks seem a tad bit insensitive, but it doesn't mean she can't ever become a mother. Hasn't anybody ever heard of adoption?
2.) She can't get pregnant in the normal (fun) way, because her ova are no longer inside her body. However, Mulder keeps finding vials of her ova all over the place (in both "Momento Mori" and "Emily") and we assume that he gave it to Scully and she has it stored in some sort of medically appropriate environment. This means in vitro fertilization would be possible. This is actually a fairly common procedure. It would simply involve taking some of Scully's ova and some of Mulder's sperm (okay, okay it wouldn't necessarily have to be Mulder's; but I'm a shipper!) combining them in a clinical environment and implanting them in Scully's womb. As far as has ever been mentioned in the show, Scully still has a womb and has the ability to carry a pregnancy to term and give birth to a healthy baby. There would be no need for sperm donors, egg donors, surrogate mothers or any of that. Scully would be the mother in every sense of the word (genetic, birth and caregiving) and Mulder would be the father. It's simply that the actual conception would have to be medical rather than, er, romantic. This seems, to me, by far the most likeliest scenario in re Scully's fertility.
3.) When she was cured of cancer, she could have been miraculously cured of her infertility as well. This means there could be a "surprise" as the result of Mulder and Scully's encounter in "all things". I have personally known several women who have been told they could "never" have children and who have gotten pregnant anyway. I realize this is a somewhat unlikely scenario, but miracles do happen.
