I think pleading for the death penalty for Pfaster in the first place would be better than murdering him in the second place. I think Scully did kind of murder him [oh I choke to say that about her ] but I think she wasn't herself at the time. She was in shock and taken up by the moment. I think if I'd been that scared thinking I was about to have my pinkies keeping company with Pfaster's peas and carrots then I would have been really out of my tree. It could be deemed as self defense due to one particualar thing. She didn't necessarily know Mulder was there. She came out into the living room to kill Pfaster before he killed her. Self defense. Mulder was behind Pfaster and she may not have realised he was there. She was probably in a trance and could only see Pfaster and just had that one track desire to kill him. I don't think it was like Mulder had him arrested and she killed him anyway. I don't think that was the case. I'd like to think that anyway. And it all happened so fast, there wouldn't be much time for rational thought. I don't condone what she did but I probably would have done the same thing. To have been that scared and battered about I think shock takes over and we do things we wouldn't normally do. I think Mulder realised that too. Although I do think he was a bit shocked. It did look as though Mulder was in the firing line. Which leads me to believe that she didn't really register Mulder's presence.

I don't know about the God working through her thing. I don't know if God does that kind of thing. Like using a faithful good person to "off" a baddy. I don't think the devil was working through her either. He would want Pfaster to keep doing all those horrible things. Unless he was lonely. hee hee. I think she responded to a situation. Noone was making her do it. I don't even think she was intentionally ridding the world of an evil. She may have been correcting her previous mistake and felt responsible for the most recent murders. I 'm not sure about that. But really,I think her only motive was to get him before she ended up as Bosch. Mulder's presence was irrelevant.
