By which I mean the people who actually live here, not the politicians. That may be why Scully pleaded for life instead of the death penalty.

But that's a discussion for another place and time.

Just reading your message brought back the thrill of watching Orison. I loved that ep! I'm curious as to your take on the end. Do you think God was working through Scully? Or was she giving in to evil? Or neither?

There was a lot of discussion about that when it aired here. Some people felt Scully murdered Pfaster since she wasn't being immediately threatened when she shot him. Others thought she acted in self defense.

Personally, I thought she was aiming at Mulder and Pfaster just got in the way. Just kidding. No, I think God was working through her, though I have some problems with the method. Scully saw the evil in Pfaster and knew there was only one way to rid the world of it.
