CSM would have Dana (and us) believe it was the chip that cured her. But it was never really proven. And we all know that you cannot take anything CSM says as 100% proof or what it seems.
In fact, Dana might argue that even if it was the chip that *did* cure her, it was still delivered to her in answer to her prayers. So, you see, it could be that her cure came from BOTH Mulder/the chip *and* from God. It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.
