Subject: Copy of my post on the GA board
In reply to: Scullystar 's message, "Gillian Anderson Rules. OMG. I was in shock the entire episode..." on 19:18:47 04/09/00 Sun

WOW!

I'll start with my *almost* negative comments to get them out of the way.

1. On one hand, at times it seemed to be moving slowly, but on the other hand I kept thinking that there was a LOT packed into one hour and just think what GA could have done with 2 hours.

2. What brought about Maggie's sudden change of heart?

Now I'll move on to my big thanks to GA.

1. THANK YOU for the lesbian couple. That was very well done. It was not necessary for (what was her name?) to be a lesbian, but it was a nice touch.

2. THANK YOU for the scene with (what was her name?) where she put her hand on Scully's knee. Scully looks down at her hand, and just as I was sure Scully was going to say, "Gee, is it getting hot in here?" the tea kettle started whistling. LOL!!!

Now, on to the good stuff.

1. I cannot wait to watch this ep again. There was so much going on that I know I missed a LOT.

2. I especially loved that it was about Scully. Not Scully in relation to Mulder. Just Scully. Sure, Mulder is important to her, but her life does not revolve around him.

3. There were women in this episode. Not women who were victims of a crime being investigated by Scully, but women with whom Scully could relate on a personal level. Nice!

4. LOVED the music. Does anybody know if GA picked the music?

5. All of the images about time ticking away were great. I really had a sense of how much Scully had changed since she left Daniel.

6. I'll post my thoughts on the first and last scenes on the Shipperville board. Heh-heh.

I'm sure I'll have more to say after I've watched it 5 or 6 more times.

Congratulations GA!

krh
