for there not to be M&S parallels in every character. Even in the MOTWs, there are parallels to be drawn, if not directly to M or S, then to human nature and experience.

Steve and Edie, I think, are paralleled more specifically to M&S than some human nature thing. Did the "he won't make love to me!" quote come up? And is that (as some shippers seem to think) the solution to all of their problems? I can definitely see a S&E parallel- the togetherness, the commitment, yep. And as kande said, I have no doubt in my mind which one is Mulder.

As for the flipping off thing- I don't think Scully used ICHSA (or whatever you're calling him) to flip off the camera crew. Nope, my Scully is much more direct. Case in point? "I hate you guys!"

I like that we didn't get to hear what M&S were talking about in the car. It lets them keep some of their air of mystery. In the regular eps, there is a selection of what gets put on screen and what doesn't. In this ep, it was supposed to be that the camera is on M&S all the time, that there is no control over what is shown and what is not. See Scully take control of her situation. Deep. Or maybe Scully didn't allow the camera crew in the car because she didn't want to be bleeped on national TV.

hairytoes, who would really, really like to see Mulder in a kimono... Scully's? There are fanfics that have Scully keeping a shirt of Mulder's because she likes the feel of it, what if Mulder swiped Scully's robe not because it reminded him of her, but because it made him feel pretty? Tee-hee!
