Subject: Hi guys! I've finally escaped my alien abductors to eat my words!

You wouldn't believe where I've been--some strange room with all these lights blaring at me, and they were doing all these tests, and there was this guy smoking...and some incredibly hot guy with these REALLY STRONG arms came in and carried me out and now I'm finally back safe and sound at my computer.....but I digress...

How is everyone?! I've really missed posting and reading posts, and I hope you're all doing well and enjoying this season!!

I must admit, I was REALLY wary about X-COPS. I thought it'd be totally cheesy, but throw in Mulder and a really camera-shy Scully, and you have a most non-Velveeta episode! TOTALLY ENTERTAINING, and I loved it.

The gay guys were a total riot--they may top my list as favorite guest stars. LOL. Scully was hysterical in this ep, and Mulder...well...OM...is it my imagination, or does he just keep getting hotter and hotter?

I really liked the plot and the allusion to Freddie Krueger. I loved those movies. "1-2 Freddie's coming for you, 3-4 better lock your door"...I can definitely see how he played into being someone's biggest fear! I love how the MOTW was actually an entity breeding on the fear of its victims.

I tuned out some of the dialogue between Mulder and Scully b/c, as I must confess I often do, I get carried away drooling over Mulder and sort of get swept away with fantasies :-P and kind of lose track of what he's saying. (How Scully ever hears a word he says is beyond me).

So I'm not sure I can analyze it in depth or anything, but the story was really easy to follow and just really fun. That was a welcome relief after all the sadness of the past few weeks. DD and GA were great, switching from drama to comedy like it's nothing. GA was cracking me up playing Scully to be so camera-shy and hating the camera guys. I think she and DD must have just decided to let it all hang out this final season or something. They are both absolutely flawless.

My only complaint with this ep was Mulder telling Scully to do the autopsy quick and fill the car up with gas. Why didn't she cram the keys up his...nose...? I LOVE Mulder, but his bossy streak really gets on my nerves sometimes.

Well, just wanted to convey that my fears that this ep would be a total waste were totally in vain. I DID love it, after all! And I've rarely, if ever, watched COPS, but if it's always that entertaining, I may have to check it out (although without Mulder in that leather jacket, I doubt it'd have the same effect on me).

What did everyone else think?
