While I'm actually so, so, so pleased with how much closure they gave Mulder (diary and actually hug and chance to see S and say goodbye), I am so utterly sad that she is really dead. :(

Although in a way I think this is the right ending to the Sam question, the most realistic, I of course hoped that she would be alive.

It is really sad for Mulder... but also nice that he is free, and can move on in peace and remember her.

Interesting that even CSM didn't know what happened to her. That's kind of nice, for some reason. I'm really happy with how they did it, with the answer.

And that last scene... I just can't say enough about it. It was so beautiful...
