I know you despise me, Scully, and I don't think for one second you should feel otherwise, given what you know. One thing is certain: Everything I do I do because I believe it's right. I doubt you believe me, though to be perfectly honest it doesn't much matter to me what you think. I find you to be insipid, and nothing but a hinderence to Mulder.

I myself have been accused of being disrespectful, and to that I make no argument. But I've seen the way your partner treats you, and trust me, he suffers from insolence on a regular basis. Especially when it comes to you.

Ahh...if only I had a home address from which to send them.

Yes, perhaps trust is the wrong word, but desperation is just as incorrect. Naivete, that seems to fit, don't you think? You must admit that Mulder suffers from naivete. He is very quick to believe. He always has been. He believed that chip would cure you, just as he believed I was being a philanthropist when I sent him those reciepts and led him to the rock that contained the black oil.

(And did it really? We'll

If I were your god, Agent Scully, I would be insulted that you allowed a manmade, foreign object to invade your body at the same time you prayed with my messanger for healing. Religion is for the mentally unstable and the weak. At least Mulder and I agree on that.

It was desperation that drove Mulder to give

Well, at least you do not consider me a fool. I don't think I could bear it if Dana Scully thought me to be unintelligent.

>you and your mentor
To think that man my mentor you must know less about me than I previously believed. He is a fool.
