You, of all people feel justified in calling my partner insolent? Have you looked in the mirror lately? But let us not resort to petty insults.

Then perhaps you should consider buying stock in a greeting card company and start a thank you card list.

It was not trust that motivated Mulder to give me the chip that cured my cancer. (And did it really? We'll never know for sure. It is just as likely that faith or some yet unknown fluke of biology is behind the cure.) It was desperation that drove Mulder to give me the chip. If you, for one minute, believe that Mulder has ever trusted you or that Cigarette Smoking Spawn of a Snake, then you are a fool. And, while I consider you many unpleasant things, a fool is not one of them. Enough of the word games.

As I stated above, it is usually hope or desperation that causes him follow the meager crumbs you and your mentor occasionally drop for him, never trust.
