Subject: More about Skinner's personal life (very vague spoilers for Season 7)
In reply to: Cookie Monster 's message, "Re: Skinner and Mrs. Skinner" on 13:40:18 11/30/00 Thu

We have *NEVER* found out what happened to Mrs. Skinner! She was last seen in a coma, after filing for divorce, in "Avatar". We don't know if she lived or died. If she lived, we don't know if she's still in a coma, if she and Skinner patched things up or if they went ahead and divorced. There was one brief scene, in a Season 7 ep, showing Skinner in a business/social type situation where he had another women (presumably his "date", but she was never identified) sitting beside him. This has led some people to assume his wife either died or went ahead with the divorce, but we really don't know.
VERY good point about most men in their 40s being married. One of the things I'm beginning to get annoyed about with XF is the fact that all the characters are at an age when most people are married, but none of them (i.e. Mulder, Scully, all three Lone Gunmen, Krycek, Marita, etc.) are! In the case of Mulder and Scully, we at least have a semi-coherent reason for their single state: Mulder can't committ to a wife and family until he resolves the truth about his sister's disappareance and Scully won't get married 'til Mulder asks her to!
BTW, does everybody here on the old eps boards know that Kimberly, Skinner's secretary, is played by Arlene Pileggi, MP's real-life wife?
