Ok, so here's a thought. If our test scores are low in the major subjects, i.e. Math, English,Science, and say Reading, could it possibly be because we have Non-Certified "teachers" teaching those subjects. Don't blame the 4 periods versus 6 periods a day for low test scores. Facts are that certain people have jobs that they are NOT qualified to have and no one seems to make this correlation. We currently have individuals not certified in Math or English teaching these subjects. Get off the ball, go take your Praxis test like the rest of us and give your kids the BEST! Get certified in your subject area, take the content knowledge exams and watch our test scores soar whether we are with the kids 45 minutes or 90!

At any rate, I believe we should stay with the 4 classes a day block system. It benefits everyone in the long run. But this is Union County, we are reactive instead of proactive! Hire qualified people!
