ADF: Her light blue skin marks her as Effyndyr, and many are surprised to see her living outside of Windemere. The five lines on her right arm indicate an area of highly concentrated magic, which she uses in her healing.

Background: When she and her sister Silverwind were around ten years old, they were playing with several other young Effyndyr at the far end of Windemere, but were seperated from the others when they decided to hide near Windemere's border of trees. The next thing Candle remembers is feeling lightheaded as she sat in front of a council of the Effyndyr leaders. The other Effyndyr came to the conclusion, by the few things that Candle and Silverwind could recall, that Candle had been the one to harm Silverwind, whose right leg was badly broken. Candle was cast out of Windemere, where she found work as a maid. When she was twenty, she discovered she had a talent for healing and, with the aid of limited magical training, continues to heal those who come to a small shop she lives in. She tends to take care of just a small number of regular customers.
