Subject: Story! Long! Please Read!

I'm bored so I decided to make up a story. Okay here i go!

"Oh My Gosh! She's beautiful!" Gasped Sophia as she pressed her face against the glass store window. It grew chilly outside as the winter wind nipped her nose. She let out a breath and fog formed on the window. SHe couldn't stand the cold but couldn't go home this doll was too beautiful! She said she'd come back tomorrow and go inside the store instead of starring at it like she'd done this past month.

She trudged through the snow as she hurried home past all the other children playing with sleds...... Past the other children slip slidding away on the frozen pond. How she wanted to stop and make snow angels and have snowball fights but she knew she had to get home. "I'm home grandmother!" said Sophia as she walked in the door of her tiny apartment. Her parents had left her as a baby and she doesn't know where they are so now she lives with her grandmother. "Sophia!" said grandmother "It's so good you're home now just in time for dinner!" "I'll turn the oven on for you. What are we having?" "Spaghetti." replied the elderly women. In a little while the two of them sat down to eat at the tiny table. Sophia couldn't tell her grandmother about the doll. Not yet. she knew they wouldn't be able to afford it. They couldn't even pay the rent. After dinner sophia slipped into her warm nightgown, took down hair hair and her blonde curls fell down her back. She hopped into bed and her green eyes shut for a night of sleep she started dreaming about her mother holding her as a baby she always had this dream but there was one thing missing.... her mother's face.


The next morning she met up with her best friend Hannah. "Hi Sophia!" she shouted from across the street. "Hello!" she yelled back. Hannah waited for the cars to stop and ran across the road to Sophia. "Today i'm going in the store!" Sophia announced. "I'll go in with you." said Hannah. Who knew about Sophia's dream to own one of these dolls. Sophia stepped inside the store. The tiny bell above the door jingled and she wiped her wet boots on the floor as she loosened her grip on her jacket it was heated in the store. The store clerk looked up and said "May i help you?" when she saw Sophia eyeing the dolls in teh window. "How much are the dolls" asked Sophia. The store clerk got up and walked over to Sophia and Hannah. "These ones are Newborn Wonders they are the cheapest in our store we are out of Small Wonders. They cost $50. These are the My Own Baby collection they are $99 these are the Artist studio Collection they cost $158 each. These are Elegant edition they are $300 each. Oh My Gpsh thought Sophia I can never afford one of these. "Thank You." she said. The one she liked was in the Artist Studio Collection. Party time was her name. She loved her face, Her cute blonde hair and those warm green eyes eyes that just reach into your heart and say "Take Me Home." "Can we see the doll Party Time?" asked Hannah. "Of course!" said the store clerk as she looked at Hannah and could tell she was wealthy. Just then a woman walked in the store. Hannah turned around. The woman had blond curls and green eyes. "She sort of looks like you" whispered Hannah to Sophia. "I know that's why I want the doll" replied Sophia.
"Not the doll!" said Hannah "the woman who just walked in the store. Sophia twirled around in a split second and saw the woman she did look like her! Probably just a coincidence. The woman did look at the two whispering girls every once in a while as she scanned the store. The girls said thank you and left the store. "Do you think she could be your mom?" asked hannah. "I don't think so. My mother left me why would she want me back?" "well I'll see you tomorrow" said Hannah. She crossed the street as Sophia walked through her door. She went up the elevator pressed the silver button that said "6" and made her way to her door.

"Lunch time!" said her grandmother. They sat down and ate their salads. "Grandmother" said Sophia. "Yes?" she asked. "That shop down the road.. you know the one with all those cute stuffed animals and beautiful dolls in the window?"asked Sophia. "Yep" said Grandmother. "Well i went in tehre today and I asked about teh doll I've been looking at for a long time.... and I know they're too expensive and...." "You've been looking at a doll? Whydidn't you tell me?" asked grandmother. "I knew we couldn't afford it and when i asked today she was $158.00" she said. "Oh I see. Maybe in a few years." replied Grandmother. "Okay" said Sophia and she got up and went into the living room to watch T.V. after she watched T.V. She called Hannah. "Meet me tomorrow morning I want to go back to the store" said Sophia. "Okie Dokie" said Hannah.

The next morning the two girls skipped through the snow and made it to the store. The woman that looked like her was there again. "Hey girls!" said the clerk. "Hi" tehy said in unison. I remember you liked those dolls yesterday and I wanted to let you know next week we're having a sale! "Thanks!" said Sophia. "Party Girl will be $120" she informed them. "Oh my gosh!" gasped Sophia. "Thank you!" she said. "Hannah! You have to help me think of ways to earn money!" she said. "I think I can help." said the woman who looked like her. "Why don't you set up a stand and sell hot cocoa and coffee on a busy street. You can sell coffee to adults in the morning on their way to work and sell donuts too. Then in the afternoon go to the children and sell cocoa and gingerbread men." she said "It's just an idea" "Thanks! Its a good one!" said Sophia. "I need some odd jobs done around my house" said the clerk. "I need someone to shovel my driveway and take care of my pets this weekend while I'm away and some nights I'll need a baby sitter for my children. How old are you?" "12 both of us are 12" said Hannah. "Then you have the job! If you want them." she replied. "Yes we do! Thank you!" said Sophia. Thank You!" said hannah as they left the store.

"Coffeeeeeeee! $.50 a cup!!!!!!!! Donuts! $.50 a piece!" screamed the girls as the people rushed by buying christmas gifts. "I'll take 3 jelly donuts and a cup of coffee" said a man dressed up as an elf. "I'll have 2 glazed donuts, 4 chocolate, 1 jelly, 3 cups of coffee, and 4 cups of hot cocoa." said one woman passing by. After a few hours of that the girls moved to the snow field. "Coooooooooooooookies. $.50 for threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Hot Cocooooooooooooooa $.50 a cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup" the girls yelled as children scurried by buying there food. They did this until the weekend and earned $50.00. When teh weekend came they had a pet sitting job. "Come Hannah! We have to feed the pets!" said Sophia. "Coming!" said Hannah. They went there and saw 5 cats 7 rabbits 3 dogs and 9 birds! It was like a zoo! It was lots of fun though! They gave them baths and loved them for two days! "I'm home!" said Mrs. Johnson. That was teh store clerks name they learned. "Wow! Great job!" she said "heres $50 the driveway is perfect!" "uh oh" thought Sophia "Hannah we forgot to clear the driveway!" she whispered. "No we didn't! I got Walter to do it!" she said. Walter was her butler. "Oh and girls can you babysit my children tomorrow? there's 3 of them. I pay $4 an hour per child" she said. "Sure! We'd love to!" They said in unison.

"Sophia! Hurry!" screamed Hannah "We'll be late!." The two of them dogded traffic as they ran to Mrs. Johnson's home. "We're.......... here" said Sophia gasping for air. "Great!" said Mrs. Johnson "I'll be back later. Their bedtime is 9." "Ok!" said Sophia. "I wanna play monopoly!" said Trisha. "No! Twister!" Screamed Brianna. "LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" said Brian. "this is going to be a long night!" said Hannah. "Lets play all of them!" said Sophia. They each won the game they chose. Then they watched a movie. Then they had a snack. They brushed their teeth and went to bed. It was 12 when Mrs. Johnson returned with her husband. "Well here's your money. It's $50. "Wow! thanks!" said Sophia. "Can i buy her tomorrow Hannah?" asked Sophia "I'll pay you back." "Keep all the money Sophia. You need it more then i do." She replied. "Thanks Hannah!" Said Sophia "Meet me tomorrow!" "Okie Dokie" said Hannah.

The girls got up bright and early the next morning and headed for the store. "Hi girls" said Mrs. Johnson "I'm afraid I have some bad news. The woman working here last night sold the last party Time." "Oh no!" Said Sophia "Here hannah you can have half the money" "No keep it! Buy a nice gift for your grandma." "I have a suggestion" said Mrs. Johnson. Why not this nice necklace. It's only $50 of your money." "Okay! She'll love it!" said Sophia.

The girls started walking back and they came to the pond and Sophia noticed something in a whole in the pond. She rushed over and saw there was a dog drowning! She crawled over to it and after a little while managed to grab it and hand it safely to Hannah when the ice cracked under neath her! "Help! Help!" screamed Hannah. no one was there tehy were all busy since it was Christmas Eve. "I can't swim!" screamed Sophia. Hannah spotted the woman who looked like Sophia and called out "Help! she's drowning!" She rushed over. "Grab my arm!" said the woman Sophia managed to grab on and was pulled out of the water. "We must get her home quick! Take my car!" Said the woman She dropped tehm off and told Hannah "Take her up I'll call later" "Ok" said Hannah not thinking.

Hannah got a fire starting and grandma made the girls hot tea and soup. "Get the dog a blanket from the closet Hannah" said grandmother. In a few minutes the phone started ringing. Hannah leaped up and it was Hannah's mother "Hannah! I'm so glad I found you!" Hannah told her about the day and her mother said she'd be right over.

Sophia fell asleep and started to dream. She was dreaming about when she was a baby and her motehr was there holding her...... she always had this dream but something was different she saw the woman's face now! It was her!

"Ring! Ring!" went the phone. "Let me get that!" insisted hannah's mother. "Hello?" she said. "Hi this is the woman who saved Sophia from the pond I'd like to knwo if she's OK." she said. Just then Sophia woke up. "She's fine she just woke up" she replied "May I talk to her?" "One moment please" said Hannah's mom. She placed her hand over teh reciever it's the woman who saved you.... she wants to speak to you. Just then Hannah said "Wait a second! I never told her your phone number......... or your name now that i think of it!" "That's because she's my mother! I had taht dream again except i saw her face this time" Sophia replied "Let me speak to her please!" "Okay" said Hannah's mom as she handed her the phone. "Mom?" said Sophia weakly. "How did you know?" she asked "A dream...... can you come here and spend Christmas with me?" she asked "Okay. I've been meaning to tell you since I saw you...... I guess I was still in shock." She was over in a few minutes. "let me tell you the whole story Sophia" said Grace (that was her mother's name) "You were born and your father was mad he didn't want the responsibility of parenthood. So he left. Then I chased after him only to find out he had been killed. Then i had to go back to you so I could love you once more. I took a stop in this town and that's where i found you. I guess you moved."

Hannah and her mother left and Sophia fell asleep and so did Cocoa (thats what they named the dog) grandma and Grace. In the morning they all opened presents. "It's beautiful!" said Grandma as she opened the necklace. "Here mom, I bought it long ago hoping to find you again one day" said Sophia. "Thank you Sophia!" said her mother. She opened the gift and it was a charm bracelet to represent what had beem going on in her life while her mother was gone. The newest one added was a dog. "Now it's your turn sophia!" said Grace. Sophia opened teh box and inside was Party Time! She named her doll Grace and will love it forever!
