hello everybody! these last two days have been great!! here is the story: I see a site called pretty doll and bear co (i highly reccomend this site) i order a primary bear. they call us back and tell us that they don't have any primary bears in :( so the lady tells me she will send a baby that is primary bear but with a differen't outfit. Two days later: the doll arrives! i look at the doll and birth certificate and at this point i see the doll and am terribly terrbly dissapointed :0( it is little loves ABC. i keep the doll in box so it does not get scrached or anything so i can send it back. I call the lady a day later and tell her I want primary bear not little loves abc. The the lady says okay. She calls me back and has a great idea: I take little loves to camp now on wednesday and she will ship primary bear to camp and when i get back in eight weeks from camp i can send little loves abc to her. She at this point is being very very nice. So i have taken this doll out of the box and put the clothes I originally bought for primay bear. I take this doll to the mall and grow very very attached. I can't give him up! I just can't do it. So I have decided to call the lady back cancel the order of primary bear and keep *my* baby Ryan Matthew. Well the time has come I have to go i leave on wednesday *tommarrow* to camp eight weeks. *yay*i am taking my beutiful LM doll (i just love saying that!) anyway i have to go cyou guys in eight long weeks!!

All the new babies are ADORABLE but there aren't very many like when the spring releases came out! We are all very disappointed! In the Spring releases, there were 48 babies that came out and in the Fall releases (the ones that came out today) there were only 15! We're pretty disappointed, but the small good thing is that our wishlist won't grow as big as it already is!
Also, in Jeannine's newsletter, it said something about April and December birthstones and a new pampers boy... well, where are they?

THose dolls are adorable and affordable...Pretty soon they will be as expensive as LM dolls..THey have wonderful clothes and very nice and life-like bodies and faces..

Ok to understand this whole thing i have to tell you about my whole day! My mom and i went to the bagel shop. I got a muffin and a snapple. When I opened the snapple i had won 2 free ones. We picked up my mom's friend and her daughter. I decided maybe we could both get one of the free snapples later on. So we were off to the store. The one with paper stuff, napkins, stuffed animals, doll clothes, klutz books... etc... So we get to.... well somewhere and the traffic is awful! My mom's freind also mentioned since you won the free snapple maybe the rest of your day will be lucky! (she was right!) well anyway we decide to go for lunch and shopping a little until the traffic is better! So we go to a Thai restaurant and teh other girl and i get a salad (she is much younger) and being the picky vegeterians (shes a semi one) we are REFUSED to eat the tofu! I hate that stuff! no offense.... well anyway so we eat some and our moms said tehyd get us somethign at the store...... in other words they bribed us! so when we left the Thai place tehy knew of another store there it was closed. So what do we do...... we get ice cream then the traffic is better and we go to that store. Well we get there I look around and above the doll clothes they have some dolls....... Not normally nice ones..... then I see one and she's nice looking and well CUTE! So i take a closer look....... it's an Adora doll! Well i don't think she's for sale! So i just wander around picking up little odds and ends... Then i see a woman go over and ask about teh doll and tehy say she's for sale and they have like two more in the back so i go tell my mom and we rush over there! So then we heard teh ones in teh back were different or soemthign and teh lady asks to see it.... then I do... So I hold it and ask just to see how much they were and she said $84 then she looks at teh price tag and says oh no its $64! So my mom said do you wnat it? I said YES! First i ask the other lady to make sure she doesn't want it. Then my mom says we'll use the 50% off coupon on it! So i'm like YAY! you're the best! So she said i'll just pay her back. So the lady goes to get the box. I peak in the back and the next one they wanna put out is an african american girl..... So the woman who was looking at the dolls asks my advice. She wants to know what doll to get her grand children and i said i think the ones that look like the American Girl dolls would be better since they were younger girls. then i help her pick out clothing etc..... so she cost $32!!!! Normally i wouldn't buy one but who could resist a great deal and a cute face! well i got her an extra outfit that is a real Adora outfit! she's named Riley Brielle Lorraine!! These dolls are beautiful! they are a little smaller then LMs and mine has pretty pale skin..... she has right hair and greenish hazel eyes. The extra outfit she has is one that the doll like her but with pigtails is wearing.... on ebay rigth now. well ttfn!

Hey people..Good morning (kalimera in Greek)

I see a lot of people in here wondering whether they should get a boy doll or a girl doll..

In most cases dolls can be either. FOr instance Primary Bear wsa intended to be a girl yet everyone treats her as a boy!
In cases when the doll's hair are not long, a "he" can be turned into a she easily!
Babies at the age of Primary Bear (about 2 months old) don't have lots of hair so by adding a pink dress and a hair tie, Primary Bear is a "she" doll in no time.
There is also the option of changing the wig..THis a little more tricky but not difficult to do..

I will post the how-to of this later on this week at my site..

Also the How to make a baby crib tutorial is ready and I will post it tonight so you can see it!
It needs the Flash Player to run but I am also making a .doc version for you later.

- umm...just out of curiosity, how do you know that Primary Bear was intended to be a girl? Primary Bear, along with Happy Bear and Very Good baby were made with generic clothing so they could be either a boy or girl. The My Own Baby's do not have descriptions in the catalog other than their face style, body type, and hair/eye combonation, and the description is often the only thing that lets you know what a baby was intended to be. Hey there peoples, um .. to those of you who remember snowed in (that were in the bc) i owned it. i always visit this forum, just to see the cute pictures .. and check out whats happening with all of your lives. but i decided its time to finnaly start posting here :O) i'm very active in the leemiddleton.com forum, you can always see me there. :O) i have one LMD currently. Its Young At Heart. Here name is Rachel Faith Alexandra. I also have a OOAK from Italy that my mom bought me while she was there. Her name is Hailey. Um, i ordered Little Friends, and he should be here in about 2 or 3 days :O). I'm naming him Noah Ryan Scott. I started to collect LMD's in January of this year (2001). I buy all my lee middletons with my own money that i earn from babysitting and i have to save half of it for the bank so it takes a while for me to earn enough money to buy a LMD. My parents will probably get me a doll for my birthday and a doll for christmas, so that'll be nice .. LOL :O) Anyways .. enough about me .. LOL

- Yes, if it is the same name (little loves abc) then it would be the same from any store you buy it from. The stores buy their dolls through LM dealers, and there are only certain dolls to buy. The reason i ask is because at first i thought...i was obsessed with the baby body's but i have been looking at Carrie's Junior Executive and i WANT a toddler, but i think i want a girl...hmmm not sure!

Hello!

I noticed some of you wanted to know more about those babies.

Ok I have quite a lot to tell.

First of all I canceled my H2o Baby doll cause I found out that those babies are actually made of the Berenguer dolls. The lady just takes them apart, re-stuffs them and uses latex water bottles to give them that "watery" baby feel.
Then se re=paints them to look more realistic. True she has done excellent job on those babies...they cost $165 and the Berenguer doll only costs $49!!

They are exactly the same doll!! So I ordered a Berenguer doll myself and I will re-paint her and attach lashes (hey I am a doll maker myself..I will put my knowledge to work :)

I will post pictures of the new baby when I get her, before and after I paint her..It seems to me that a good make-up goes a long way to making a doll!

Please don't get me wrong. The lady who made H2oh babies is exceptionally good at what she does and if you cannot do that (re-do the doll) then you might as well buy one of her dolls. But for me, I can re-do the doll myself so why pay all that money?

If you take a close look at the Berenguer dolls (my very own Eric Alexander was a Berenguer doll) you will see the mold is EXTREMELLY realistic! The hands and feet are absolutely gorgeous!! That is why I am buying it!

If you know of a Europe dealer that sells those dolls then please help NOT pay taxes from the USA :)

Wow! I haven't posted in like.. weeks! Okay, I haven't posted for about a week, LOL. Well, a lot of things have happened to me. First of all, I decided to get Butterfly Kisses instead of June since they are the same doll only in different outfits... and coz Laurel (lmcreamofthecrop.com) is selling me her for 119 dollars and is including a free outfit!! So, I have enough money (100 dollars and my mom is loaning me 19 dollars) to order her! I think we are going to be ordering Chaeli on Saturday!

Here's a little update.....
I ordered Primary Bear yesterday from Chldhood Dreams and he should be arriving next wednesday. I won't be here though *sob* because I will be in New Hampsheire and won't be getting back until next Saturday. I'm leaving for NBew Hampsheire tommarrow by the way. Hey people!

I got an idea which I am posting on the site...

Its called versions..You know who companies like LM and AV have the same faces with different colours of hair or bodies etc? How can you decide which one you like the best?

Well, I need pictures of your dolls so I can put up a table (called Versions) with all the possible combinations of a doll i.e. Primary bear with blue eyes, or brown eyes or even the face in a different body!

I await your pictures. Don't forget to include the title of the doll!

Hiya everyone! About an hour ago I went to Wal*Mart to get a camera. When we got out of my dad's car I noticed something in the car next to us. I went over and saw a carseat with a baby in it! Some time ago an American company decided to produce robot babies for use in school classes to prevent teenage pregnancy.
Those babies are real simulators that show the young girls how difficult it is to raise a baby. They are called, Baby Think It Over.

Those babies are now available in Europe as a toy with the same robotic capabilities. They cry in random interval when they need a new diaper or are hungry or just need attention. They need to be cuddled, feed, have their diapers changed and even burp!

Lee Middleton vs. Apple Valley -- Tina of Little Wonders, 12:47:14 06/18/01 Mon
This is a message about the good and bad points of dolls made by Apple Valley and Lee Middleton. You can read a full article which will help you decide on which dolls to buy in a few days at my site...

Height and Weight:
LM dolls are smaller than real babies, starting from 17" and going up to 21"

AV dolls are actual natural size starting from 19" (newborn) and going up to 36" (3 years old)

AV dolls weight less than LM dolls but since you can make them using a kit, you can decide on how heavy they will be.

Hair and eyes:
Both companies have very realistic eyes since they both use the same brand (called real eyes). LM might have a couple of eye colors more though.
AV has excellent quality wigs but since they are kits you can order any wig you like. I use human hair.
LM has good quality wigs but I find most to be "too grown up" style for the ages it produced in her dolls.

Vinyl quality and coloration:
Both companies have excellent quality vinyl. AV offers 4 skin tones.

Variation:
LM has 7 or 10 molds and by using different hair and eye color combinations, creates themed dolls. It also has 2 body sytles (babu and toddler)

AV has 5 body types and 60 face molds!
*You* choose which face you want to go with what color of eyes, style of hair and color and body! The most realistic bodies are the Toddler (also called Num Num) and the Sleepy (also called newborn) cause those two are actual molds of a living baby's limbs (i.e. not a sculpted mold). They even have every single skin fold and you can even see the ankle and wrist bones!!

Price:
AV doll kits cost about $60 and it takes you 30' to put them together even if it is your first time
LM dolls cost minimum $150. AV complete dolls cost $125 from dealers.
AV does not sell dolls though. Just kits.

If you want to buy from the Internet (an AV doll) ask the dealer if you can have any body type with any face. Usually the most realistiv ones (Num NUm and sleepy) are available with two faces.

IF you need more info on these dolls and their prices for Europe and USA (personally I ship everywhere) and if you want to read more on the article, visit the site in a few days, It may help you to decide on what you want in a doll and what to avoid..
The opinions stated are personal and all arguments express personal opinions. However I have been fair in pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of the dolls :)

I'm sorry for not being on a whole lot lately, I guess you could say I've had a lot going on.. Mostly, I've been trying to spend as much time as I can with a best friend of mine, Teryn. She's moving on Wednesday, and she's moving to another state, 7 hours away, when right now it (literally) takes her less than 30 seconds to get to my house right now. Hiya Lauren! How nice to get a message all to myself! No i haven't got Little Skater yet the shop are going to call me when he arrives and if he hasn't arived by tomorrow then the lady is going to ring the company. She said he could be here within two to four weeks and it is four weeks tomorrow, i am having to be very patient! I have tried to pick a name for him that nobody else has because i hate hearing the same names all the time of course im sure somebody has named their dolls this but not that i know of. Little Skater is going to be called Zachery William Leo then my surname, william coz that is our future king, and Leo is the name of our prime ministers baby! so the names all have a meaning.
