I am 17 and my parents first tried to talk me out of "playing" with my dolls, i still get comments like "How old are you?" and "Your too old to play with dolls" but i was speaking to my mum today and she asked me if i at any time in the last 2 years wanted a baby. Being 17 the answer was yes, to this she sighed and asked if that was why i collect the dolls, i explained that the reason i collect them is:

1. I find that if i didn't have something to spend my money on or have a hobby like this then my money would go towards alcohol, going out to clubs, and enevitably i would meet boys and most likely they would ask me to sleep with them.

2. I always have had a facination with babies and i like to be able to care for my own while i am too young to have real babies.

All i am saying is try talking to your parents it may sound cruel but you need to show them that the dolls will make you more mature in the sense you won't be going out and getting pregnant or wasitng your money. I find the dolls rewarding, i work part time and i have something to show for the hours i work.

Try talking to you father and mother together and try to make them understand why you are collecting the dolls.
