To answer your question...Yes, she is Matina by Zapf but i just don't bond with babies unless I name them (its really weird!). So any name ideas? I thought of Shyla, Cathrine, Olivia, Nicolete, or Autumn...Please help!!!

Hey everyone! I want to introduce you to my 9 year old sister, Taylor. She has just gotten into Lee Middleton dolls and will be getting "Leopard Print" for her birthday in September. Well, she wants to make some friends and join this forum. She has a newborn wonder and a playtime wonder so far but here's a message from her!

i am so excited!. my baby girl is arriving 2 day but i just don't have a clue what 2 call her! my mom has a digital camera so i will post some pics soon. i am gonna go out and buy her some "birthday" presents (not toys just clothes) and then make her nice and comfy on my bed. If i had got her a lot sooner she would of had 2 brothers and three sisters, but toys on the green said that my moms credit card was'nt working so i decided 2 forget all about it and gave my lm dolls to my cousin who lives in austrailia! i can't even get them back
1) BECAUSE SHE DOES'NT WANT 2 GIVE THEM BACK
2) SHE CAN'T GET BACK OVER 2 AMERICA TO ACTUALLY GIVE THEN 2 ME EVEN IF SHE WANTED 2 BECAUSE MY MOM AND HER SISTER (HER MOM) HAD AND ARGUMENT AND ARE'NT VERY FRIENDLY. Then wot do ya know? toys on the green email me back 2 tell me they have got it working and she's on the way! i was nearly crying! oh well i just guess that i will have 2 start my collection all over again unless my mom and my aunt becom ....more....friendlier (yeah right!). Well im getting tired now so i am gonna go and go on the interactive story and maybe have another think about wot 2 name my doll.

I'm bored so I decided to make up a story. Okay here i go!

"Oh My Gosh! She's beautiful!" Gasped Sophia as she pressed her face against the glass store window. It grew chilly outside as the winter wind nipped her nose. She let out a breath and fog formed on the window. SHe couldn't stand the cold but couldn't go home this doll was too beautiful! She said she'd come back tomorrow and go inside the store instead of starring at it like she'd done this past month.

She trudged through the snow as she hurried home past all the other children playing with sleds...... Past the other children slip slidding away on the frozen pond. How she wanted to stop and make snow angels and have snowball fights but she knew she had to get home. "I'm home grandmother!" said Sophia as she walked in the door of her tiny apartment. Her parents had left her as a baby and she doesn't know where they are so now she lives with her grandmother. "Sophia!" said grandmother "It's so good you're home now just in time for dinner!" "I'll turn the oven on for you. What are we having?" "Spaghetti." replied the elderly women. In a little while the two of them sat down to eat at the tiny table. Sophia couldn't tell her grandmother about the doll. Not yet. she knew they wouldn't be able to afford it. They couldn't even pay the rent. After dinner sophia slipped into her warm nightgown, took down hair hair and her blonde curls fell down her back. She hopped into bed and her green eyes shut for a night of sleep she started dreaming about her mother holding her as a baby she always had this dream but there was one thing missing.... her mother's face.

The next morning she met up with her best friend Hannah. "Hi Sophia!" she shouted from across the street. "Hello!" she yelled back. Hannah waited for the cars to stop and ran across the road to Sophia. "Today i'm going in the store!" Sophia announced. "I'll go in with you." said Hannah. Who knew about Sophia's dream to own one of these dolls. Sophia stepped inside the store. The tiny bell above the door jingled and she wiped her wet boots on the floor as she loosened her grip on her jacket it was heated in the store. The store clerk looked up and said "May i help you?" when she saw Sophia eyeing the dolls in teh window. "How much are the dolls" asked Sophia. The store clerk got up and walked over to Sophia and Hannah. "These ones are Newborn Wonders they are the cheapest in our store we are out of Small Wonders. They cost $50. These are the My Own Baby collection they are $99 these are the Artist studio Collection they cost $158 each. These are Elegant edition they are $300 each. Oh My Gpsh thought Sophia I can never afford one of these. "Thank You." she said. The one she liked was in the Artist Studio Collection. Party time was her name. She loved her face, Her cute blonde hair and those warm green eyes eyes that just reach into your heart and say "Take Me Home." "Can we see the doll Party Time?" asked Hannah. "Of course!" said the store clerk as she looked at Hannah and could tell she was wealthy. Just then a woman walked in the store. Hannah turned around. The woman had blond curls and green eyes. "She sort of looks like you" whispered Hannah to Sophia. "I know that's why I want the doll" replied Sophia.
"Not the doll!" said Hannah "the woman who just walked in the store. Sophia twirled around in a split second and saw the woman she did look like her! Probably just a coincidence. The woman did look at the two whispering girls every once in a while as she scanned the store. The girls said thank you and left the store. "Do you think she could be your mom?" asked hannah. "I don't think so. My mother left me why would she want me back?" "well I'll see you tomorrow" said Hannah. She crossed the street as Sophia walked through her door. She went up the elevator pressed the silver button that said "6" and made her way to her door.

"Lunch time!" said her grandmother. They sat down and ate their salads. "Grandmother" said Sophia. "Yes?" she asked. "That shop down the road.. you know the one with all those cute stuffed animals and beautiful dolls in the window?"asked Sophia. "Yep" said Grandmother. "Well i went in tehre today and I asked about teh doll I've been looking at for a long time.... and I know they're too expensive and...." "You've been looking at a doll? Whydidn't you tell me?" asked grandmother. "I knew we couldn't afford it and when i asked today she was $158.00" she said. "Oh I see. Maybe in a few years." replied Grandmother. "Okay" said Sophia and she got up and went into the living room to watch T.V. after she watched T.V. She called Hannah. "Meet me tomorrow morning I want to go back to the store" said Sophia. "Okie Dokie" said Hannah.

The next morning the two girls skipped through the snow and made it to the store. The woman that looked like her was there again. "Hey girls!" said the clerk. "Hi" tehy said in unison. I remember you liked those dolls yesterday and I wanted to let you know next week we're having a sale! "Thanks!" said Sophia. "Party Girl will be $120" she informed them. "Oh my gosh!" gasped Sophia. "Thank you!" she said. "Hannah! You have to help me think of ways to earn money!" she said. "I think I can help." said the woman who looked like her. "Why don't you set up a stand and sell hot cocoa and coffee on a busy street. You can sell coffee to adults in the morning on their way to work and sell donuts too. Then in the afternoon go to the children and sell cocoa and gingerbread men." she said "It's just an idea" "Thanks! Its a good one!" said Sophia. "I need some odd jobs done around my house" said the clerk. "I need someone to shovel my driveway and take care of my pets this weekend while I'm away and some nights I'll need a baby sitter for my children. How old are you?" "12 both of us are 12" said Hannah. "Then you have the job! If you want them." she replied. "Yes we do! Thank you!" said Sophia. Thank You!" said hannah as they left the store.

"Coffeeeeeeee! $.50 a cup!!!!!!!! Donuts! $.50 a piece!" screamed the girls as the people rushed by buying christmas gifts. "I'll take 3 jelly donuts and a cup of coffee" said a man dressed up as an elf. "I'll have 2 glazed donuts, 4 chocolate, 1 jelly, 3 cups of coffee, and 4 cups of hot cocoa." said one woman passing by. After a few hours of that the girls moved to the snow field. "Coooooooooooooookies. $.50 for threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Hot Cocooooooooooooooa $.50 a cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup" the girls yelled as children scurried by buying there food. They did this until the weekend and earned $50.00. When teh weekend came they had a pet sitting job. "Come Hannah! We have to feed the pets!" said Sophia. "Coming!" said Hannah. They went there and saw 5 cats 7 rabbits 3 dogs and 9 birds! It was like a zoo! It was lots of fun though! They gave them baths and loved them for two days! "I'm home!" said Mrs. Johnson. That was teh store clerks name they learned. "Wow! Great job!" she said "heres $50 the driveway is perfect!" "uh oh" thought Sophia "Hannah we forgot to clear the driveway!" she whispered. "No we didn't! I got Walter to do it!" she said. Walter was her butler. "Oh and girls can you babysit my children tomorrow? there's 3 of them. I pay $4 an hour per child" she said. "Sure! We'd love to!" They said in unison.

"Sophia! Hurry!" screamed Hannah "We'll be late!." The two of them dogded traffic as they ran to Mrs. Johnson's home. "We're.......... here" said Sophia gasping for air. "Great!" said Mrs. Johnson "I'll be back later. Their bedtime is 9." "Ok!" said Sophia. "I wanna play monopoly!" said Trisha. "No! Twister!" Screamed Brianna. "LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" said Brian. "this is going to be a long night!" said Hannah. "Lets play all of them!" said Sophia. They each won the game they chose. Then they watched a movie. Then they had a snack. They brushed their teeth and went to bed. It was 12 when Mrs. Johnson returned with her husband. "Well here's your money. It's $50. "Wow! thanks!" said Sophia. "Can i buy her tomorrow Hannah?" asked Sophia "I'll pay you back." "Keep all the money Sophia. You need it more then i do." She replied. "Thanks Hannah!" Said Sophia "Meet me tomorrow!" "Okie Dokie" said Hannah.

The girls got up bright and early the next morning and headed for the store. "Hi girls" said Mrs. Johnson "I'm afraid I have some bad news. The woman working here last night sold the last party Time." "Oh no!" Said Sophia "Here hannah you can have half the money" "No keep it! Buy a nice gift for your grandma." "I have a suggestion" said Mrs. Johnson. Why not this nice necklace. It's only $50 of your money." "Okay! She'll love it!" said Sophia.

The girls started walking back and they came to the pond and Sophia noticed something in a whole in the pond. She rushed over and saw there was a dog drowning! She crawled over to it and after a little while managed to grab it and hand it safely to Hannah when the ice cracked under neath her! "Help! Help!" screamed Hannah. no one was there tehy were all busy since it was Christmas Eve. "I can't swim!" screamed Sophia. Hannah spotted the woman who looked like Sophia and called out "Help! she's drowning!" She rushed over. "Grab my arm!" said the woman Sophia managed to grab on and was pulled out of the water. "We must get her home quick! Take my car!" Said the woman She dropped tehm off and told Hannah "Take her up I'll call later" "Ok" said Hannah not thinking.

Hannah got a fire starting and grandma made the girls hot tea and soup. "Get the dog a blanket from the closet Hannah" said grandmother. In a few minutes the phone started ringing. Hannah leaped up and it was Hannah's mother "Hannah! I'm so glad I found you!" Hannah told her about the day and her mother said she'd be right over.

Sophia fell asleep and started to dream. She was dreaming about when she was a baby and her motehr was there holding her...... she always had this dream but something was different she saw the woman's face now! It was her!

"Ring! Ring!" went the phone. "Let me get that!" insisted hannah's mother. "Hello?" she said. "Hi this is the woman who saved Sophia from the pond I'd like to knwo if she's OK." she said. Just then Sophia woke up. "She's fine she just woke up" she replied "May I talk to her?" "One moment please" said Hannah's mom. She placed her hand over teh reciever it's the woman who saved you.... she wants to speak to you. Just then Hannah said "Wait a second! I never told her your phone number......... or your name now that i think of it!" "That's because she's my mother! I had taht dream again except i saw her face this time" Sophia replied "Let me speak to her please!" "Okay" said Hannah's mom as she handed her the phone. "Mom?" said Sophia weakly. "How did you know?" she asked "A dream...... can you come here and spend Christmas with me?" she asked "Okay. I've been meaning to tell you since I saw you...... I guess I was still in shock." She was over in a few minutes. "let me tell you the whole story Sophia" said Grace (that was her mother's name) "You were born and your father was mad he didn't want the responsibility of parenthood. So he left. Then I chased after him only to find out he had been killed. Then i had to go back to you so I could love you once more. I took a stop in this town and that's where i found you. I guess you moved."

Hannah and her mother left and Sophia fell asleep and so did Cocoa (thats what they named the dog) grandma and Grace. In the morning they all opened presents. "It's beautiful!" said Grandma as she opened the necklace. "Here mom, I bought it long ago hoping to find you again one day" said Sophia. "Thank you Sophia!" said her mother. She opened the gift and it was a charm bracelet to represent what had beem going on in her life while her mother was gone. The newest one added was a dog. "Now it's your turn sophia!" said Grace. Sophia opened teh box and inside was Party Time! She named her doll Grace and will love it forever!

Hi everyone! I am brand new to Lee Middleton collecting. But I am saving up for Tumbling Teddies! :) I am thinking Caleb Alexander. Whadda yah think? hey everyone that has been posting pictures, i just wanted to give you a big hug, and tell you how much i love to look at them. keep them coming!

and as for my adoption process of aurora rose, i finnally got fed up and called the shop i ordered her from. and guess what!?! she's back ordered. go figure. so it could still be another 2,3, or maybe even four weeks till i get to hold her. i guess my birthday gift will be a little late this year:)

but in the mean time i've been spending way too much on new outfits for her. and my husband and i just got our first digital camera, so needless to say, i'm already excited about posting tons of pictures for you all.

I think this is a big issue here...I am making these dolls for myself and if I ever decide to sell them, I will consult a lawyer first :) I don't think that is illegal.

Mikaela is right. I never ever said that H2oh Babies are illegal, I just said that both me and my husband think that for me personally, it was not a good investement since I can make my own dolls...Even though I changed my mind and wanted to have a doll I did not make for a change :)

Lainy, it is not illegal to buy the cloth body from the doll company. I know cause I deal AV dolls and the factory lets me say they are my creations as long as I state that I start with AV kits...Besides I modify them, so I give them my personal mark...

I am afraid Toys R Us will stop bringing in the La Baby dolls in the State. They said they weren't a big seller :(

By the way..HAPPY 4TH Of JULY !!

Hope I cleared everything up..Please don't let the subject get blown out of proportion...As I said, this is my personal creation for my personal use and that is certainly not illegal..If I was ever to sell them, then I would consulant a lawyer *and* the Berenguer factory first :)

You see the baby at the top of this forum 'Little Skater' well he is now mine and in fact is stting with me right now. Zachery arrived at 3:00 this afternoon and I am absolutely thrilled with him, he is gorgeous and so life like to hold. I was worried when I got him I would want more but I dont! Zach is my first and last but I advise anybody buying a LM doll to get 'Little skater' he is the cutest, I still cant believe I own one I have dreamt about this day for so long, I cant believe its here! yay yay yay!

OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!! My Mum phoned Eunice (I'm getting RTG from her) and asked about it- we're going to the bank in 1/2 hour to get a check! So in about 2 weeks he should arrive!! OMG!! This is SO exciting I can't beleive! The 2nd OMG! is nearly as OMG-ish as the first- mum got all our old baby clothes out! AND I FOUND MY KITTY DRESS!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) my kitty dress is from when I was a baby! I was so upset when I grew out of it! Anywho mum's keeping it and when I have my first girl I'm going to have it for her! :-):-) so happy. I am a bit sick my mother has kept me home. I've been sick all week. when mum gets headaches a massage helps she says and she's booked me in for one. I keep feeling like I'm going to vomit- it's lousy. And then I forget what I am doing and fall down the stairs or something. Wow, lotsa new babies are comming around here! Kim, your new girls are both VERY cute. I ordered Junior executive last night because after seeing Carrie's pics of him, I could'nt resist so I'm waiting for him and today my mom and I went to the shop where I got Ethan and Mabry and I saw Winter Angel and we put it on hold. I ordered READY TO GO boy this Sunday . I was so desperate to get him that I asked for fast 2nd day shipping! This is my first big LM doll. Well He was mailed out monday and I got him today at 10 AM!!! I already had bought him a pale yellow 3 piece outfit with pastel baby blocks embroidered on it. Plus soft knitted beige blanky :) I took pics of him in my daughter's bassinet today! How do I post pictures??? Do I upload them somewhere first??? Three Little Trees

Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. The first little tree looked up at the stars and said: "I want to hold treasure. I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I'll be the most beautiful treasure in the world!" The second little tree looked out at the small stream trickling by on it's way to the ocean. "I want to be traveling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I'll be the strongest ship in the world!" The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town. "I don't want to leave the mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they'll raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world." Years passed. The rain came, the sun shone, and the little trees grew tall. One day three wood cutters climbed the mountain. The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said, "This tree is beautiful. It is perfect for me." With a swoop of his shining axe, the first tree fell. "Now I shall be made into a beautiful chest, I shall hold wonderful treasure!" the first tree said. The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her to a shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead the once strong tree was hammered and sawed into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail to an ocean, or even a river; instead she was taken to a little lake. The third tree was confused when the woodcutter cut her into strong beams and left her in a lumberyard. "What happened?" The once tall tree wondered. "All I ever wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God..." Many, many days and nights passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams. But one night, golden starlight poured over the first tree as a young woman placed her newborn baby in the feedbox. "I wish I could make a cradle for him," her husband whispered. The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth and sturdy wood. "This manger is beautiful," she said. And suddenly the first tree knew he was holding the greatest treasure in the world. One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree quietly sailed out into the lake. Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered. She knew she did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through with the wind and the rain. The tired man awakened. He stood up, stretched out his hand, and said, "Peace." The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun. And suddenly the second tree knew he was carrying the king of heaven and earth. One Friday morning, the third tree was startled when her beams were yanked from the forgotten woodpile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man's hands to her. She felt ugly and harsh and cruel. But on Sunday morning, when the sun rose and the earth trembled with joy beneath her, the third tree knew that God's love had changed everything. It had made the third tree strong. And every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God. That was better than being the tallest tree in the world.

I accidentally went on a baby shopping spree yesterday and bought 3 babies and a brand new cradle lol. *WHOPPS* yes I do have the money but now after buying them I am broke for the next YEAR :-P
I bought the cradle last night actually

Then yesterday morning I went on ebay and found babsi

for a great price and remembered how much I loved them so I posted a message on doll-fan.com and was flooded with emails all day. I finally settled on the 2 I had wanted the most and for the longest time.
First I bought Christin by zapf

(she is not a baby but I am so excited! My babies can have a big sister!)
Then I bought Bradley by Zapf he is from the 1998 catalogue

He is practically impossible to get! I have wanted him for a year and a 1/2 ever since I first saw him!

Now I am not getting babsi the seller was acting very funny so I backed out even though I loved babsi it wasn't worth the risk of loosing that kind of money. Sorry honey! I will get you some day.

Hiya I'm Elisa, I'm 18 and I'm new to LM collecting but not to the Babyz community :) I've been reading this forum for ages but dismissing the idea of actually buying a doll - I thought they were way too expensive! But I've finally decided to buy one, now I just have to decide which and save up for it :)

I have a few questions though, especially to UK collectors cos thats where I am :) First one (to everyone) is I've never actually held a LM doll, what do they feel like? Are they like dolls that you buy for little kids? Or softer? Second is are there any UK shops online where I can look at LM dolls? I can't find any at all! And thirdly has anybody ordered them from America and had them sent over here...does it work out cheaper? I have family in USA so I could order them online, get them sent to my family and then they could send it to me would it be cheaper?

I had fun on my trip to Florida (so did Ethan and Mabry) but my dad's house was a different story. I just got Justin (Precious In His Sight) and I love him! I waited at the door with a present and Jeanine saw me and said- "Come in!" so I came in and I got to hold Kaitlin (I am not sure of spelling). She is so adourable! She has black hair in little wisps and she has tiny little fingernails! She was SO cute. I hadn't held a new baby for months- she is so tiny and perfect!

Here is yesterday: Okay..... It's not like if you don't help me decide now we're all gonna die.. but the wait is KILLING me!!!!!! Well anyway....... here i go! My friend and I sold lemonade, iced tea, cookies, donuts, and other drinks and food yesterday and today on her road. A bunch of people gave us extra money and said keep the change and stuff like one person got 3 drinks and some cookies and it came to $2 and he gave us $5 her neighbor got 5 drinks (there were 2 people working outside) and they gave us like $5.00 etc....... Her friend also gave us lotsa change! and so we ended up with $20.75 each! I gave her the extra that we couldn't divide though...... So anyway! now I have about $103.00 and I asked my mom and she said she'll lend me the extra money to order Little Friends! First I have to decide if I wanna find him cheaper on Ebay and wait like a week or order him now? We're also selling more lemonade soon so I can get more money LOL!

Now today I'm confused!
AHHHHHHHHH! Now my mom said maybe I should wait to see if i find Little Friends cheaper on Ebay and she'll lend me $50 for Party Time! I will only end up with like $10 next month if I do that but I'm also gonna be selling more lemonade and stuff so ya know! PLEASE HELP ME! My mom is being like the nicest mom in the whole
universe right now but she's still confusing me!!!!!!!!!! Please what should I do! Here are my options: Get Party Time save up and buy Little Friends -OR- Buy Little Friends and save up for Party Time. So PLEASE help me decide! Oh and if I get Little friends I put Party Time on layaway and go crazy till I get her and I won't be able to wait and PLEASE HELP! This means Dallas probably won't be able to go to Dallas but I'm still going back another time and I can still get someone to send me a shirt from there for him! PLEASE HELP ME!

Hey there! Guess what? A few minutes ago my dad came into my room when I was looking at the LMs at Samantha's Dolls. I was looking at Little Blue Eyes or something like that. Anyway,my dad asked me if that was the doll I wanted and I told him no,so I went to the page with the baby I want.(The doll is I Love America Boy,by the way) Anyway,then he asked me if there is a mailing adress for the site,and he started telling me that he was proud of me for giving my sister this laptop thing.(It's not a real laptop,it's just like a game computer thing for little kids.) LoL,I dunno,but it sure sounded like he was trying to say something. Right now I feel so happy,even though he didn't really say anything. Allright,I'm done blabbing now. =P Bye!

Hi everyone. Im new and had never heard of the Lee Middleton dolls until now, but as soon as I saw them I wanted one.Im 14 years old and my parents think im too old for a doll, what do you think? They will not buy me one so I am going to save up for one. - They are about $200- it is not cheaper because U$ are worth more- that's about $370 Aus- $400. but the really expensive ones are about $500. multiply american prices by 2.4- it should take care of crapy exchange rates too. shipping I don't know.
