I think Teena Mulder knows who Mulder's father is-she's just not talking. I think she knows WAY more about the project and was much more involved than she lets on. It's pretty obvious in "Talitha Cumi" that at one time there was somethig VERY intense between her and CSM regardless of their feelings for one another now. And all those declatations of "Oh, Fox, I can't remember, it was all so long ago" never quite ring true. She knew where that weapon was hidden in the summerhouse didn't she? When Mulder demanded to know who his father was in "Demons" she countered with "I'm you're mother. How dare you talk to me like this?" (or something similar) and ran from the room. Sometimes a refusal to answer is an answer in itself.

I don't remember CSM ever being infected with the black oil or coming in contact with the artifact. Why would the "alien" part of his brain be turned on the way Mulder's was?
