that maybe he is afraid to form a family and then have it fail? I know that many times individuals from families that went through divorces or very difficult times will be afraid to do that to someone else, no matter how much they love that individual. Somehow I get the feeling that he knows something about the baby and isn't willing to tell Scully for fear of what that may do to their relationship. I've seen previews on tv and am actually quite concerned about the baby. Hopefully the previews are wrong.
