Exactly. Maybe we've all been thinking inside the box. I like this twist of 'who's the mother'. It's very 'plausible'...heh heh, in the XFiles world, but I doubt CC will go there...

Just because she's pregnant doesn't mean she's the mother, anymore than it means Mulder is the father. Actually, the fact that they are Naked Pretzeling could be a moot point - the red herring CC likes to throw out.

What we know from established XFile myth is that all of her ova were removed, so she should be barren.

Who's the daddy or who's the mother options, other than produced by natural sexual union, could be:

1. The mother the egg came from could have been Mrs. Mulder, or even Samantha. Remember the Mulders' are so all important.

2. The father could still be from Mulder's untainted donated sperm.

3. Scully's pregnancy could be from a fertilized egg that neither of them contributed egg or sperm, too.

4. Scully's hidden, stored ova that had been stored were used, but Mulder is not the father.

5. Or the ever popular Scully's egg + Mulder/alien sperm, doctored before inplantation.
