I refer to both CSM and WBD in his acting capacity. The very admirable thing about the choice of supporting characters in XF roles is that they were virtually unknowns. Actually, even David and Gillian weren't household names, either. But I respect Chris not giving in to big famous guest stars. This means that now CSM and the Lonegunmen, Krycek and Skinner are now very famous in their own right. I enjoyed your defence of CSM as Hero. I liked the phrase 'cardboard antagonist' too. Again, so many peripheral characters in other TV shows are just that: two dimensional and unconvincing. But not Cancerman! Long may he reign in all his scheming magnificence.
