Personally, I think you're too hard on Doggett. 'Course, I like him, so that may influence me a bit.

Sure, Doggett rescued Scully in Roadrunner, but she isn't the helpless female who must always be saved by the male hero. He doesn't treat her like a helpless female either. He treats her as an equal.

I started watching XF because of the interaction between M&S. The interaction between D&S is different, but I also find it interesting.

I wish I knew what could get you to watch the Mulder-less episodes!
