In fact, maybe it was in the Pilot, Scully is in Blevins's office and CSM is standing, leaning on a file cabinet, smoking (duh). Scully has a look on her face like, "Who the hell is this guy?"

I agree that Scully isn't going to go off on a search for proof about Samantha. I did find it odd that, after all these years, she took Mulder's regression therapy tape to...who was that guy? An FBI psychologist? I'm mostly surprised that she showed it to someone within the FBI. I'd think she would take it to someone outside (perhaps someone recommended by The Lone Gunmen??) for an independent analysis. I'm also a little surprised that Skinner wasn't sitting in on that.

And how do M&S manage to get from DC to Connecticut so quickly? They aren't THAT close!
