  • (Content with the fact that the embarassing incident was over, she collected Destin's reins and set him off at a trot, hoping to have him properly warmed up before they were called into the ring. As she put the gelding through his prelim paces in the warm up ring, she found her thoughts drifting back to the way she had felt with the strong arm around her back, and those concerned eyes on hers... the way he hadn't fought with her but allwed her to make her dicision on things. It was comforting and it made her angry with herself for letting her guard down for a moment. When their number was called, however, she was all business and able to put the magnificent gelding through a picture perfect round that had her exiting the ring with a self-satisfied smile on her face.)
