See? I usually support that stand IG. Really not the fan of the father figure relationship and so I thought I'd better check. In defense of G/S, I don't think it is father figure-ish. It apparently existed prior to him being her boss and the equality thing is in the meeting of minds rather than in the age difference. They have this complimentary relationship as they work with her excess of emotion offsetting his coldness.

Also, she is 35 so it is hardly cradle robbing. I think a 35 year old woman might be attracted to a 50 year old man and nobody would bat an eye. I don't know that age is the issue that him being the boss is.

I see them as equals via ability and level of passion. I think she pushes his buttons as much as he pushes hers. Like I told my buddy I think objectively that Grissom is &#@#% old but he's not actually AFTER Sara in a lecherous fashion as much as unable to resist her warmth and intellect. He does the RIGHT thing as far as his age and position are concerned but he's unhappy, lonely and imcomplete without her. I find them heartwarming together...cute as one of my Buffy readers noted.

Though you have loads of support with Catherine/Grissom, I think C/W is a better match of minds.

Rae
