Subject: Joan of Arcadia, episodes two and three

First of all, det, thank you so much det for sending me the second episode of Joan! You are fantastic. Although can I just say, I got all nostaligic seeing the Tivo screen and hearing the "blip BLIP."

Last night I had a Joan of Arcadia double feature where I watched episodes two and three.

First of all, PLEASE tell me that the Joanith storyline is over. That character isn't going to be in any more episodes, is she? Because she really bugged me. BUGGED. Even at the end of the third episode, when she was blocking the garden and everyone was chanting her name, I didn't think she was redeemed. And I'm not really sure what Joan did to help her "grow", as slacker God said she did.

The entire second episode, where Joan was telling God to get away from her, made me extremely nervous. Maybe it's my Christian background, but really? DON'T be mean to God! I was happy when Joan finally broke down and cried on old lady God's shoulder. It seems that Joan has completely missed that God is a great comfort to people who believe, and she finally got a taste of that. And it seemed really real and really heartbreaking to see Joan crying to God that she doesn't want to mess up again.

I don't really have much use for Will's police storylines. It was sad that the old lady died in the fire, but I just couldn't care all that much. And will they get over themselves with the blue?

I'm still so angry about Kevin's friend suing them for emotional hardship. It was interesting to see how Andy has developed as a result of the accident. The answer to that is therapy, though, not suing the guy who you paralyzed with your poor decision. Not to mention it makes me so mad the way people are always trying to get out of responsibility for their actions. Stupid Andy got drunk and instead of realizing that he made a jackass move, he and his parents try to blame Kevin! Argh.

Two good episodes, though. I'm really loving Grace and Luke.
