Didn't they attempt some sort of "season long" murder mystery on another network a couple of years ago? And didn't it get axed after about six eps, leaving the viewers frustrated because they never found out the solution to the mystery?

It doesn't really look all that appealing to me anyway, but I definitely don't want to get sucked into a mystery that I may never get to see the ending to, so I won't be watching.
