Subject: "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman"


Did anybody else here watch this show, which ran for four or five seasons in the mid-90s?

We used to watch it back then and recently got the first season on DVD.

We're having fun with it, especially as my husband and I both work(ed) for newspapers and we can laugh at how different The Daily Planet is from all the real newspapers we've worked for over the years. We also laugh at Lois being unable to tell that Clark and Superman are the same person!

It was on about the same time as the early seasons of XF and, although it's a much "lighter" tone, it has some of the same elements, such as:
1.) Good-looking, dark-haired leading man
2.) UST between the main two characters
3.) Aliens (well, just one alien really, as Superman is from another planet); actually, in the early eps, he doesn't know what he is. His (adoptive) parents told him that they thought maybe he was some sort of Russian genetic experiment.

Too bad Mulder and Scully never went to investigate him!
