but the best show with a happily married couple is "Medium". Allsion and Joe are great. The show returns in January, yay!
Allison (Patricia Arquette) I think is in her early 40's

As for other older women, I was just watching an episode of "Christine". I'm not sure how old Julia Louis'Dreyfuss is but I'm sure she's in her 40's.
Also there's Sally Field on that show after "Housewives".
There's Catherine on "CSI."

And in the still older age brackett, "Ugly Betty" has two very prominent female characters over 50 played by Vanessa Williams and Judith Light.

I'm glad Karen McCluskey is being featured more on "Desperate Housewives". I always liked her. She just has to be more careful in dealing with this Dave guy!
