Yes it is a reality in many countries and has been for ages. I remember when I was little seeing the reports of the fighting in Belfast and hearing that term "the troubles". The news would show little children walking the streets of Northern Ireland with guns. I'd never seen such a thing!
When I was watching my DVR'ed copy of 24 the news said they would have a real story on children fighting in wars coming up.
But I know there are many cases. During the Vietnam War it was common for the enemy to strap bombs to Vietnamese children and have them enter the US camps. The US soldiers had no choice but to kill or be killed which branded them "baby killers" by anti war activists. It was in an impossible situation. The same practice is common with the extremist Muslims who load up children and women with bombs and use them as 'suicide bombers'.
War is hell, as they say.
Thanks CW for the reminder on Daniels being Palmer's VP. I can't for the life of me think of David Palmer's little brother's name though!
SMH maybe Michelle will come back to life too. Or how about Edgar Stiles? (actually I just saw him on a recent episode of "CSI:NY.")
