This article doesn't make much sense to me. First she says she had "no choice' but to agree to a long-term contract, but a couple of paragraphs later she says she agreed to additional seasons because of the additional money it would bring.
Given that DD was able to walk away after the seventh season, I would think GA could have, too. Apparently she decided at the time that the money was more important than her artistic freedom and now regrets that decision. But freely making a decision and then coming to regret your choice is quite a differnt thing from having "no choice" to make in the first place.
BTW, I noticed the obligatory reference -- always made in any interview given by GA, DD or CC -- the the theoretical second XF movie that's supposedly going to begin filming "soon". How many years now have they been saying that??
