I remember the glory days of the 70s in which there were great Aussie dorectors like Peter Weir & Bruce Beresford who went Hollywood soon enough but made Mad Max, The Year of Living Dangerously, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Breaker Morant, Gallipolli, The Last Wave before leaving. Also there were non-Aussies who filmed Australia like Nicholas Roeg's Walkabout or Werner Herzog's Where the Green Ants Dream.
