Just saw this one. Not so good to me. I like the New York references & the idea that there are traffic jams that last years. But that seems to be the new series thing: create as surreal a situation as possible & then figure out a scientific explaination for the Doctor later. So we have a traffic jam that lasts forever, a bride who zps up to the Tardis for no apparent reason, Shakespeare chased by witches, etc.

I didn't really get the need to add the Macra in. Nice to have some continuity but they weren't really the main part of the plot. How did they get there anyway? I guess NYC's bad wrap is still fodder, that the police never show up to help, that drugs or moods are everywhere, that people accept the crappy life & continue on. The Doctor telling the drug dealers he'd be back to get them was a little overdone to me.

The Doctor & Martha's relationship is going well on the plus side. The Face of Boe's final message makes sense to me as I have been a bit spoiled knowing that the Time Lords & the Master are back at the season's end. I figured the Time Lords would be back at some point, they would have a survival plan. Plus, couldn't the Doctor go to Gallifrey before it was destroyed?
