At the moment I watch 4, hour-long shows per week but the TV is on usually from 6pm[news] to 9:30-10 depending on who else is watching and I may catch the odd extra bit. I usually do work in front of the TV so I rarely ever sit and just watch. 2 of my fave shows have just gone off Sat night so it used to be 6 hrs per week. The kids used to watch afternoon kids shows when we got home but that was interfering with homework and baths etc so I banned arvo TV for about 4 mths and it has just started to trickle back in now, causing me to re-inforce the ban.Morning TV has been banned for ages and now if they are ready for school early they do their music practice or tidy their rooms. They do sports 2-3 arvos per wk anyway so there really is no room for TV, hence the reason we have not bothered getting Pay TV with heaps of channels. It would be a waste of money as we would never watch enough, or we would watch too much and that's not what I want. Hubby has to see the news and then he will watch just about anything and flick the channels as most annoying males do.
