First of all, the saying "lost in translation" can be applied to any ancient book which has been translated into and out of half a dozen languages like the Bible has been. While the basic doctrine is probably still somewhat intact, one can only wonder how much of it has been edited to meet the needs of the "powers that be."

Secondly, I agree with your comment on JC having descendents--who cares! I frankly have no opinion either way. The DaVinci Code is classified as fiction and that's how I have considered it. The same applies to the Left Behind Series. Both books have religious themes but are classified as fiction. They tell a story based on a good imagination and a few selected parts of the current Bible. I have enjoyed reading them and they have served as food for thought but nothing more than that.

As for the fish and loaves of bread, LOL. Brain food and comfort food!
