Subject: How much TV do you watch?

I'm just wondering how many hours per week, on average, most people here spend watching TV? Do you watch less in the summer or is about the same year round?
Despite the fact that I spend a lot of time hanging out at websites where people "talk" about TV shows and write TV-related fanfic. . .I really seem to watch a lot less TV than the average person. During the school year, I probably watch five or six hours of TV per week and in the summer it drops to maybe two or three hours per week. Today is Wednesday and I have yet to turn on my TV this week.
Part of this is because we don't have cable (or satellite or anything like this) so we are restricted to watching the broadcast networks. But part of the reason we only have old-fashioned antenna TV is that my husband and I don't really want our kids to have the choices of eight zillion channels of TV to watch; partially because we find the content of a lot of cable programming problematic and partially because we simply think there are more productive ways -- like reading or playing outside -- for our kids to spend their time.
