I have seen the Da vinci code movie. I have never read the book although would like to. I t6oo hate when they change books for the movie. The last Harry Potter film was a bit of a disappointment to me for that reason. Not Without My Daughter is anoter one that was really downgraded for the movie. The book is un-put-downable.

My hubby really liked the Da Vinci movie but I thought it was a bit boring. For people who know me well, they would be completely astounded at that comment. I surprise myself. But I think I thought it would be more of a runnning, race type film where they had to find the clues before some catastrophic event took place. Kind of like the Amazing Race TV show. But instead it was more mysterious, which I like but was totally not expecting and felt it was a bit slow. Even so, I did like it and I can't for the life of me understand why some pious individuals are slandering it as anti- christian etc. It's just a story. I'm sure that noone is expected to take it as the new history, and if it is intended to make people think instead of just accept the doctrine then so what? I think it's a pretty cool idea. I think it would be great if old JC had a desendant[sp]. I'd like it to be me. How cool would that be? With the price of food these days I think being able to feed my family for a year on 5 loaves and 2 fishes would be mighty handy.

Anyway, my hubby really liked the film and found it extremely entertaining and interesting. Unusual for him as he usually hates those sorts of films. But he had no clue as to what it was about before hand, whereas I had heard bits and pieces and formed the wrong expectations. I think I would have enjoyed [and will enjoy] reading the book.
