Not a bad finale but I thought it was a bit rushed. What the heck was Irina's plan anyway? Blow up DC & London and then what? Would that ball thingy make Irina immortal too are did she need the bath Sloane fell into? That whole end fight between Syd & Irina felt tacked on to get rid of her. I like how Prophet 5, the big bad this year, go out with a whimper. Very anti-climatic.

The Syd flashbacks were nice, wish they could have been an ep to them, selves so as not to cut down the real time plot. The new characters introed this season really didn't get a chance to shine. I'm sure if ABC haven't cut down the season by 5 eps, the Tom/Rachel sub-plot could have been fleshed out. Marshall got in some good stuff, he's my fav of the group.

One wonders why someone doesn't dig up Rimbaldi's tomb. Unless Jack left a message before he died, Syd would return to find him missing & want to find him not knowing Sloane came back to life & is buried alive. I'd think Syd would dig up the tomb & accidentally release Sloane. But not an unfitting end for the show's main villain. And fitting that Jack got him rather than Syd. I think Jack might have had some sins to pay for so he had to die too. The flashbacks kind of exonerate Jack sending Syd down the spy path as previous ones made Jack seem to force her into it.

How was it that the Christmas test (or whatever you call it) was in Syd & Vaughn's new place? I'd think Syd wouldn't want that anywhere near her kids unless that was Jack's old stuff. Somehow I doubt we'll have Alias 2 with Isobell in 20 years.

Overall, a fun show but to me it did jump the shark after the 2nd season. Syd's private life was gone, the plot (already convoluted) got ridiculous, Sloane being their ally or boss was such a weak way to keep Rifkin a regular on the show, new enemy groups came & went without the impact of SD6. I think the show could have worked without the Rimbaldi stuff and with Sloane remaining a villain like he was at the end of season 2. Syd losing 2 years had a lame ending as did all the cliffhangers after S1's. Still had fun with the show but lost seam after S2, IMHO.
