that good shows have to be rediscovered during the summer? I find that most of the shows I like start their seasons pretty much at the same time during the fall. New summer shows are usually pretty pathetic--it's like they save the junk for the summer and bombard us in the fall. The only exceptions to this are Monk and the two Stargates which have both started their new seasons. I really appreciate the networks doing that. At least the shows I like to watch are spread out a bit. Even so I often need to tape one show while watching another.

NCIS is a favorite and like you said, it's too bad they didn't get more Emmy nominations. Somehow I think these awards are politically motivated and directed. While Charles Durning is a great actor and has "earned" his award, there are others who do great jobs on the screen and deserve to be recognized as well. It just makes me wonder who makes the nominating decisions and who chooses the winners. Supposesdly there is some sort of voting process but after that huge presidential election fiasco in Florida several years ago, I don't have a lot of faith anymore in the accuracy of counting votes in any sort of election.

Michael Weatherly did a great job in the Dark Angel series and is capable of playing a variety of roles as we saw in this episode. Hopefully he doesn't have to wait until he's Charles Durning's age to be nominated!
