Subject: I caught most of the Pilot ep of "Bones"
In reply to: CW 's message, "Re: Bones/XF comparison" on 08:01:00 09/09/05 Fri

From what I saw, it was pretty good. The seem to be pushing the UST factor a lot harder in this show than they did in XF; in XF it was always very subtle. I missed the first few mintues, so I wasn't quite sure if Bones and Booth were just meeting each other for the first time in this ep or if they'd worked together previously.
My one compliant -- and this may sound weird, coming from me -- is that this show borrows almost *too* heavily from XF. For instance, one of the partners is haunted by the mysterious "disappearance" of family during adolscence. Granted. in this case it's the woman, rather than the man, and it's her parents rather than a sibling, but still.
