Subject: I missed last week's Lost...help!

My wife & I were on vacation & my VCR messed up (I think the tape was bad). So last Wednesday, Nov. 9, was missed & I was still out on Saturday night when they rerun it. I gathered from the previous week's preview that a confrontation happens with hording sleezy guy & it even appeared that Sayed killed him but yet he was OK in tonight's ep (Nov. 17).

Who knocked Sayed out as he was tracking the distress call? I thought maybe Locke cause he wouldn't want to leave the island since this is the best thing that ever happened to him. But I suppose it was Danielle whom we meet in tonight's ep.

That's Mira Furlan playing her of Babylon 5 fame. She totally doesn't sound like the voice sending the distress call but 16 years could change a person. I could see that she's gone crazy from years alone but what she said makes little sense. They were shipwrecked & she killed the others? Including her husband & child? I might need to watch this one again to figure out what she was talking about.

Sayed's story was good. Alittle contrived perhaps. Even if they believed his story, wouldn't they be down on him for letting a woman overpowere him & escape? And wouldn't a military man check the rifle to see if it was working before attempting to use it?

The golf game was cool. The group needs some relief.

Can anyone please give me a synopsis of the previous ep?
