Want to make sure those less fortunate (cough...det), don't look here too soon.

The show is back. Nice to have a clean slate but they manage to get back to the same old tricks.

Jack-once again, the only man able to save us all. Everyone else is a dummy except him. Was staging a robbery really the best way to hold up the terrorist guy? Why not give him a flat tire or something. And didn't Jack think that the cops would be after him having seen the vehicle he escaped in? I like how he lets Chloe's friend get his ass beat so he can save his girlfriend and boss/future father-in-law.

Chloe-I like her better this year. She really annoyed me last season (reminds me of a cousin of mine who doesn't have redeeming computer skills). She certainly got into a bind thanks to Jack, he should give her a sympathy roll in the hay for this. Maybe she'd lighten up then.

New CTU crew-same crap. With all the problems from previous seasons, you'd think "division" would get a team that can work together without all the in fighting. The psycho duaghter sub-plot is so gonna blow. The sexy, sneaky black woman likewise.

the Hellers-the old fake heart attack trick, that's the second time I fell for it this month. You know, our current secretary of defense should take note of what's happening to Heller. The son is way annoying (thanks Murdoch for making sure middle America hates anyone who's a hippie or leftie) but sure doesn't deserve the torture when he isn't even a suspect.

the baddies-I know Arab groups are up in arms but it looks like they will throw in some sympathy from the son & others. I feared Debbie was the new Kim but evil mom got her out of the way quick. If this is a long term plan, killing her made sense but if this is a same day suicide run-why bother? Now her parents will be looking for her, she might not have put 2 & 2 together for days. One assumes there's more to the plan since 3 more hours isn't enough to fill out the day.

the new Prez-not sure yet, wasn't he a little sleazy last year? Will Palmer be worked in at some point?

I still wish they could stream line the show to be just the crisis without any dramatic sub-plots which tend to be way over the top & cliched.
