Did anybody else catch the debut of this show last night? I thought it was pretty good. In a couple of scenes, Don (the FBI agent brother) kinda looked a bit like Mulder.
I was glad they made it clear that Don *does* have his own apartment, even if he spends most of his time either at work or at his Dad's house, because from the previews it had looked like they all lived together and I would have wondered a bit about a thirtysomething man who still lived at home. The fact that the twentysomething brother, Charlie, lives at home kinda/sorta makes sense, given that they made it clear that he is mathematically brilliant but a bit clueless about coping with the realities of everyday life.
One thing I liked is that we get two ships for the price of one. It seems they are setting up Charlie and his female grad student assistant as the primary UST relationship of the show, which means they will never do anything but gaze longingly into each other's eyes and that sort of stuff. However, this means Don and the female FBI agent (I didn't catch either of the women's names) might eventually get to move their relationship from professional to personal. And, let's face it, it's about time we had a TV show where an FBI agent got lucky in less than six seasons!
