Subject: TV shows "on the bubble" for next season

I found this on the web. It's from a TV critic. These are shows which have yet to be either cancelled or renewed for next season. Comments from me at the end:

*************

ABC: "8 Simple Rules," "Less Than Perfect," "Rodney," "Life as We Know It," "Complete Savages."

CBS: "Joan of Arcadia," "JAG," "Yes, Dear."

NBC: "American Dreams," "Committed," "Medical Investigation."

FOX "Arrested Development," "The Bernie Mac Show"

UPN: "Kevin Hill," "Veronica Mars."

WB: "Jack & Bobby," "Steve Harvey's Big Time Challenge."

********
I don't have REALLY strong feelings about any of these shows, but I do have opinions on a couple of them:
1.) Rodney — not a personal fave of mine, but my kids like it and I do believe TV has an obligation to put on at least a FEW family-friendly shows. Everything doesn't have to be grisly crime dramas and sexy sitcoms.
2.) JAG — I've pretty much quit watching this over the past couple of years, but I'd hope they'd let it die with what little dignity it has left. The show is past its prime. Pull the plug.
3.) Medical Investigation — I'm not in love with it, but I like it. And NBC isn't exactly overrun with hits this season. They should give it another chance in a better timeslot next year.
4.) Arrested Development -- I've watched this a few times. It's not a personal fave, but it's better than most of the junk they have on FOX.
5.) Veronica Mars -- I've never watched this even though it sounds like something I'd like because -- after the "Jake 2.0" fiasco last season -- I refused to be drawn into watching another highly acclaimed but lowly rated TV show on UPN. If it's renewed for a second season, I'll probably start watching it.
Anybody else have comments?
