Subject: I agree with you Tim--this is an excellent storyline. It's not some pretty plot they're adding as an undercurrent to buoy the sometimes boring lawyer work. I think it will be dealt with fairly and well--at least I hope so. And yes, we were set up for the fall w/ that scene of Harm and Mac. Although horrid, the story of Bud is one that reminds us of what many people deal with daily---whether living in an area with minefields, or of men and women in service.

I agree that the landmine story is very timely. How many times have the reporters stated that Afghanistan is so dangerous because of them? We have all watched as Bud's character has changed from the comic relief to the underrated gifted lawyer. We have watched him earn his promotions and past his bars to become a fully competent lawyer. This has given the viewers a character to love and relate to in the real world. He alone has managed to find love, make a commitment and work at keeping the relationship
no matter what the costs. He seems to have become the stablizing force which Harm and Mac revolve around. I feel that Bud's injury will solidify the viewer's perspective of Bud's character as equal to Harm and Mac, not two steps behind them. Remember when they were running in the Jagathon? They all ran side by side. It should make for some very interseting story lines next season.
