From the forests near castle Canaday, a large shadow ascended, and swirled into the sky.
Mirabelle was firmly seated on her father's back, as the mighty dragon propelled himself through air. She cast a look downwards and spotted a swarm of what appeared barbarian warriors not far from the Canaday's outer walls. The main force of Tancan's horde was starting to lay siege to the castle defensive structures.
"Father", she spoke to Tri-arcanoth pointing down. "Tancan...They are invading the kingdom... And judging by their numbers, castle armies seem to be greatly outnumbered."

Tri-arcanoth cast a glance of his own down to the battlefield.
"Human wars...", he said despisingly.
"But father...", Mirabelle interjected. "we need to help the kingdom forces... They may be human, but I've lived among them for a long time now. They are my people too."
Dragon grumbled uneasily in discontent. "WE both were betrayed and used by these people of Yours, and you still suggest we help them Mirabelle? Haven't you learned ANYTHING?"

"I want punishment for those responsible just as much as you do father", Mirabelle said darkly.
"But... my child... Your grandson... is still there, Alive. I can sense it." A tear rolled down her cheek at the thought of her newborn child lost, falling and breaking upon a golden dragon scale of her father's neck.

Tri-arcanoth turned one of his heads back, facing Mirabelle.
"A child whom you had with Lord Justin Case... he is the reason why I am missing a head now…"
Their eyes met, and more tears were forming in the corner of Mirabelle's eyes.
With a heavy sigh, the dragon let out a puff of smoke with both heads.
"He is still your child, and my own blood. I know..."
A flap of his wings later, he changed direction towards the siege site below.
"Let's give these barbarians a little greeting then, while we scout their forces." He noted with a smirk in his deep voice.

A Large shadow covered the field where Tancan warriors positioned their siege weapons.
Tens of thousands of heads looked up to see what caused the unprecedented sun eclipse. The answer came in a form of deafening roar. Shadow grew larger as the elder dragon dropped from the sky just to fly mere meters above ground wrapped in fire and smoke, his scales glittering in sunlite gold.
Cries of panic echoed among the horde as many men ran in fear for their lives. Frightened cries of "Valrittan...!" echoed over and over again.

A single figure stepped out of the command tent. Only a silhouette of the man could be seen, partially covered by the entrance shadow. The man seemed unaffected by the overall panic, as he glanced over what was going on.
"An elder Dragon... I thought reports said Justin no longer held his alliance with them."
Another voice from behind the dark figure spoke from the shadow of the tent.
"Tri-arcanoth. The one that lost a head. He is no threat..." The voice finished dismisingly.

The figure turned and walked back into the tent.
"Get rid of him then sorcerer. Before he scatters all of my men!"

Shay El Bayodi stepped out of the tent, and looked up into the sky, closing his eyes. He made a single circular gesture with his hands, and a rippling light appeared above the tent.

Up above in the skies, Mirabelle shuddered as she felt the disturbance of power.
"Father!", she screamed, "turn left with all speed, NOW!"
Tri-arcanoth has known and trusted his daughter's instincts all of his life, and didn't have to be told twice. Flap of his wings, and they changed direction away from the Tancan encampment.
A bolt of purple lighting stroke into the position where they were flying to just moments ago.
Part of the blast still stroke its mark, but Mirabelle managed to deflect some of the bolt by reflexively casting a weak defensive spell.
Tri-arcanoth stumbled for a few moments in flight nevertheless, as he felt the sizzling energy strike his armor-like skin. With a shriek of pain he struggled to regain control of flight. Climbing up high, he rushed over the Canaday walls and sped out of danger.

"Are you alright, father?", Mirabelle spoke, concern filling her voice.
"I've been better my child...", dragon replied trough his teeth. "So it looks our Tancan friends got themselves a little sorcerer help eh?", he proceeded.
Mirabelle turned her eyes downwards.
"One I have met before, and hoped to never meet again, I am afraid...", She said, sinking into thoughts.

Back at the siege front, the sorcerer opened his eyes.
"Mirabelle...", he muttered with a smile creeping upon his face.
