Hi....I feel the same way. I became a true Journey fan in 1980 and no other band could come close to the attachment I felt to this band. I know part of it is the time and place of the songs since all Steve Perry's lyrics have such meaning and every song reminds me of something. When I found out Journey had replaced Steve Perry, I felt like I was in mourning. Something so wonderful was gone forever. At least Steve is still with us and I eagerly await a new cd. The old Journey that I loved will never be again, though. After BTM, a lot of my sadness was replaced with anger at how Steve Perry was treated. Now I feel I can't think about Journey the same way anyway. I guess it's true, there is no going back again. I can only hope that Steve Perry goes forward and takes some of this sadness away.
